Raiden's first appearance is in the Plant chapter of Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons Of Liberty. Raiden had the mission of infiltrating the Big Shell. Raiden has no real experience of being in a real mission, or so he thought he didn't. When Raiden was young, he was brought up in the army of the Devil. When he was barely 10, he became the leader of the group. He then earned the nick names like "White Devil and Jack The Ripper". Raiden was chosen out of the other children by Solidus Snake because Jack was the only one who resisted the thought of letting go his past. Solidus killed Jack's parents, and adopted Jack, only to make and call Jack HIS creation. Jack was only at the tender age of 6 when he held his first AK. (The Aks74u, a great gun) When Jack grew up, he met Rosemary in New York, and has been together for 2 years. Though they love each other a lot, Jack keeps to himself, not wanting her to know a lot of things. Jack doesn't want her to know about his past or about his Nightmares. Mostly, Jack tells her about his personal information, only to find out she's a spy for the Patriots.
